Rancho Valencia opened in 1989 and has since become one of the West's most sought-after five-star resorts. The award-winning resort & spa sits on 45 acres of lush gardens and olive groves in Southern California.
In 2013, Rancho Valencia was completely renovated to feature a new restaurant, remodeled guest casitas, and a new bar. The San Diego resort underwent further enhancements in 2020 and 2021 which included a grand renovation to its Forbes five-star-rated spa, now featuring an expanded fitness center, retail area, locker rooms, lounges, and an elegant new salon.

Rose Garden

Wine Cave
The Wine cave is an intimate setting with a seating capacity of 22 guests, perfect for your bridesmaids' luncheon, rehearsal dinners, or wedding showers.

Truly displaying the Rancho Valencia style, the Sunrise Room takes its name from the natural sunlight that floods the space each morning. The room features an open-beamed ceiling and turquoise fireplace, creating a comfortable setting for dinners and luncheons. This space can accommodate up to 40 guests for meals, but, when combined with the adjacent Sunrise Terrace, it can accommodate up to 220 guests.
Sunrise Patio
The Sunrise Patio creates a perfect setting for wedding ceremonies and receptions. This private courtyard features a bleached-wood trellis adorned with climbing white roses, overflowing flowerbeds, bougainvillea, and hibiscus. These natural elements combined with the saltillo tile floor and the site’s beautiful fountain create a picturesque scene ideal for exchanging vows. The Sunrise Patio can comfortably host 220 guests for ceremonies, 150 guests for cocktail hours, or 100 guests for dinner.
